How is Orvoca different from a dictionary or translator?
Dictionaries and translators solve the immediate meaning problem.
Orvoca focuses on what happens next: saving the word, reviewing it in context, and helping it stay available when you need it.
Can I use Orvoca right now?
Yes. Orvoca is available on the web, as a Chrome Extension, and as an Android app.
Is Android supported?
Yes. The Android app is available on Google Play.

Is iPhone or iPad supported?
The iOS app has not shipped yet. It is on the roadmap for July 2026.
Is Orvoca free?
Orvoca is currently available as free early access.
No credit card is required.
Is Orvoca for exam prep?
Exam prep is not the primary use case.

Orvoca is for readers who hate losing good words while reading in a second language.
It is especially useful if you want vocabulary from real reading instead of disconnected word lists.
Do captured words go straight into review?
Not by default.
Captured words first land in a review-first inbox where you can save, edit, or dismiss them before they enter your vocabulary.
Does Orvoca run on every website?
No.
Capture only works on sites you explicitly allow, so Orvoca stays intentional instead of passively reading everywhere.
